Re: World
I've made some changes to the initial write-up. I can't nitpick each one out, so just review it all as a whole. Continents Adun is slightly larger than Earth with four continents that are rather closely bunched together, as Adun’s plate tectonics are less active than Earth’s. The largest continent, ...

Maredi and Marebi
Maredi and Marebi are the two smaller moons of Adun (the larger being Nirya). Here on Earth, our moon's gravitational pull influences our tides, our calendar, and is known to influence the menstrual cycles of women, and even has an influence on hormonal cycles of men. For Adun, with it's three satel...

New Ideas for Nydoini
Something I've been thinking on for awhile to explain so many similar species and such is that Nydoini will have been originally a human from Earth, who ascended and continued her spiritual evolution. Eventually, she left Earth, but took with her a love for her homeworld and a genetic catalog of the...

Re: Ochae'nafod (Nymphs/Animal Shapeshifters) (Revised)
When cross-breeding between Ochae'nafod of different clans occur, it can mean a number of results. If the two animal species are compatible (like lions and tigers, horses and asses, etc.) the offspring can transform into a hybrid (liger, mule, etc.). If the two animal species are almost compatible ...

Kuzo (Goblins)
Forgot to finish the Kuzo! :O Here's the rest of it. Personality The Kuzo are reclusive and shy alone or in small groups, but when en-massed, they gain confidence and become aggressive. Very aware of their small size and that other races are smarter than they are, the Kuzo tend to avoid other races ...

Re: World
Hmm... Interesting. Though I'm not quite sure of the size of that ocean, or if I still want to go in the direction having half the world be oceanic. I think what I might end up doing is just adding a little more sea beyond what we see on the map, and make it maybe Pacific sized.

Re: World
Alright, I found my tracing pad and maps, so I worked out a new Athok at the top of the world. http://gallery.legendsofadun.com/displayimage.php?pos=-56 Traced the original map and slapped this in there. The northern-most reaches of Thiskel might be a little closer than what they appear on this map,...

Re: World
Athok sits at the base of the world, an almost round continent that is covered with snow and ice. In the summer, bare rock is revealed on its northernmost coasts. One long mountain range arcs around the eastern coast. Its sole inhabitants are the hearty Aeul’Idayn. I need to create a land for the A...

I overlooked your response for awhile there, Kat, but I've updated the country's information, and it now has a page on the site: http://www.legendsofadun.com/places/agenom.php I changed them to being more Mediterranean in coloration, rather than being duskier as you suggested. So, they are somewhat ...

Re: Aeul'Idayn (Winter Elves) (Revised)
I'm going to be revising the Aeul'Idayn to place them on the southern antarctic continent of Athok instead of random mountains over the world. I just don't think it would make sense for convergent evolution to have them all scattered.

War of the Gods Prologue WIP
I started working on this prologue, but I feel like I need some guidance. If anyone has the time to give me a little critique, please do so. I'd feel better with some guidance. Does it flow well? Does it feel awkward in any places? Glaring errors? I don't really know what to think of it. Prologue Bi...

Re: Kalesten - Kalestine Empire
I was thinking that magic has taken on a new role in Kalestine with the militerization. Part of the Imperial War Colledge in Kales is dedicated to training the War Weavers, sorcerers who are taught tactics and strategy so they can support the rank and file. I'm not sure that would work with the sec...

Re: Kalesten - Belvon
Eh, the point was to get away from religion and mysticism and focus on what's tangible and realistic, as they perceive it. If they aren't going to believe in the gods, they sure as hell aren't going to believe in spirits. As for shamanist cultures, the Kaius barbarians will be strongly shamanic, as ...

Re: Magic: Sorcery
Gods already rule the world and run it the way they want to, and there are evil gods. Gods have complete power, and they use it how they see fit. They could already be called corrupt. Elementalism doesn't compare at all to the power from sorcery. Elementalists are limited in what they can do with t...
