Re: Rough Lists of Ochae'nafod Tribes

Central Kalesten tribes. This region is largely tropical savannah with some high desert before becoming tropical wetlands and rainforest. South of Serdenaugh to the rainforest will encompass species familiar to the American Southwest, American South, Central America, and parts of South America. Some...

Re: ARTS! (Dollmaster Cast)

Bonus, Laban and Rayina! These are my perceptions though, based on my reinterpretation for the book. I wanted Kosonians to have more of a Mediterranean look, so I went with (young) Alexander Siddig (Dr. Bashir from DS9, Doran Martell in GoT) as a base for Laban. http://gallery.aserra-rpg.com/albums/...

Ialin placed herself between Thalia and the stranger. “Fine! Fine! Please, don’t hurt her!” Ialin pleaded. The man’s blade moved back perceptibly. “Is there someone that you’re looking for?” Ialin edged closer to Lianora and her captor slowly. “No questions, just take me to them.” “Well, sir, if I k...

Art Project: Watermark

Our gallery has the option of using a custom watermark, so if someone could make a transparent image file we could use for that, I would appreciate it. It could be a logo or just © World of Aserra or something.

Art Project: Site Images

I'd like to get an image that might appeal more to the male forum members, rather than using effeminate ol' Zharis. :P A character with a color scheme that would go good against the light blue background would be best, possibly Naclia, or another character. This will require a new character portrait...

Art Project: Maps

So, Meg made us a wonderful new map, but it's still a bit rough and will need more tweaking as I progress in world building. I would also like to do maps of individual nations and regions for more specific details. Megannnnnnnn I need you!

Anyway, I'm commissioning a friend of mine to do character images for Dollmaster, and after that I may give her the voyage to Ertia group. Lauren and i might work something out for the students. Lots to do! You and i need to get the maps done too.

Emails!

I need a reliable email from everyone that I can contact. PM me your main contact email (this thread can be viewed by the public & bots, so don't post it here). If the email you use for your account is your main contact address, you don't need to do anything.

Re: Discussion for Nafod Races

A note for Dra'nafod... they should have a high resistance to plant based toxins. Any toxin derived from their bonded tree would have no affect on them. Mixed Dra'nafod descendants would have a higher resistance than pure humans, but not as strong as pure dra'nafod.

Yes, though the cheeseburger analogy really gives a good perspective on just how bad the temptation is when a vampire is hanging out with humans.

Re: Discussion for Vampires

So, I was thinking about this earlier. In Twilight, Edward describes Bella has having an overpowering floral scent about her that he couldn't get enough of. But if you think about it, why would a vampire want to eat a flower? When I was pregnant, my sense of smell was incredibly heightened, and I re...

Re: Discussion for Soul Burning

My bad, I was wrong above. Rory's concept for soul burning actually does permanently damage the soul. Other forms of soul-energy based magic just channel spiritual power, but soul burning basically burns up parts of the soul itself, and "cauterizes" the wound so the soul can't regenerate.

Lycanthropy

I didn't want to use actual werewolves originally, but I think they could be an option. They will be the result of a curse, not a race. It'll follow some of the typical werewolf myths--victims of the curse shift under the full moon (Nirya in this case) and turn into a bloodthirsty monster. Anyone bi...

Re: Discussion for Humans

I was working on something for the intro guide, and I don't think I'm going to use it there, but I want to put this in. We have a severe lack of Asian-looking people in the world, and I want to rememdy that with Thiskel. Kalesten Continent This continent is a rather narrow hook-shaped continent that...

Cast Picture Project?

I talked with Meg about this before, but I'd like to get character portraits done for each RP cast so everyone is visualized. So, we've got our three main plots right now; The Dollmaster, Atissran's Tower, and Cursbreaking. We could start on any of those, though personally I'd go with the highest pr...

Re: Kalesten - Agenom

I was just thinking, the Japanese inspired names that we've used really don't fit with any other words used in this country, so we should go with a different naming style. I'll use Japanese inspired names for another place on Thiskel.
